Can I use a cooling mattress cover or pod on my Essentia?Updated a day ago

We don’t recommend using cooling mattress covers or pods with your Essentia mattress, particularly those that circulate water through tubing, such as the ChiliPad or Eight Sleep Pod.

Why don’t we recommend them?

• Moisture and mold risk: Cold water circulating through a cooling system can cause condensation to build up between the cover and mattress. If moisture isn’t able to dry completely, it can lead to mold or mildew over time.

• Your mattress’s comfort and performance: Essentia mattresses are designed to contour to your body and provide pressure relief. Adding another layer between you and the mattress can interfere with its contouring, pressure-relieving benefits, and cooling performance.

What if I choose to use one anyway?

Using a water-based cooling system with your Essentia mattress is at your own risk. Mold or mildew damage is not covered by the mattress warranty.

A cooling weighted blanket is a different option to consider, as it doesn’t sit directly against the mattress surface in the same way a cooling pad or pod does.
