Yes, Essentia processes the full payment, including applicable state taxes based on the state the order is shipping to, as well as any shipping fees that may apply at the time your order is placed. 

Given that Essentia manufactures these items upon order in our GOLS and GOTS-certified organic factory, this is the legal and common way for companies like ours to process an order. We are obligated to deliver your product and in the event that there is a delay, we will notify you of this in a timely fashion. 

We also make clear our manufacturing process and times on our website, as well as on your order confirmation. Our customer care team is also available to answer any questions you may have or order status updates that you may need. 

Companies that charge at the time of shipping are generally not the manufacturer of the product they are selling and do not want to take the risk that the time frame for delivery is outside of the generally accepted 30 days.
