Can there be slight variations in mattress dimensions?Updated a year ago

Yes! As we handmake all Essentia mattresses in our GOLS and GOTS certified organic factory, so slight variances of + or - an inch can be expected. This is especially true as the mattresses are entirely organic latex foam. 

Here are the standard sizes of all Essentia organic mattresses:

TWIN: 38" x 75" x 8" 

TWIN XL: 38" x 80" x 8" 

FULL: 54" x 75" x 8" 

QUEEN: 60" x 80" x 8" 

KING: 76" x 80" x 8" 

CALIFORNIA KING: 72" x 84" x 8" 

You can expect the mattress you receive to be very similar to the dimensions shown above, + or - an inch. All of our latex is cut to the proper dimensions, however, there are a few factors that can affect the final mattress dimension: 

• Our mattresses are compressed and rolled for shipping, if the mattress is left in the box for too long the dimensions can be compromised. This is why we request that the mattress be unboxed within 30 days of receiving it. 
• As the mattresses are compressed and rolled, one thing that can happen, even if you open the mattresses as soon as you get it, is that the liner under the cover can pull or bunch under the mattress and pull down the corners. You can easily unzip the top organic cotton cover and pull that liner up from under the mattress to give the foam room to expand.
• The GOTS Certified Organic cotton covers are hand-sewn, if it has been sewn slightly tighter the dimensions can be affected. This does loosen up with time as the foam expands.

A lot of the situations that can affect the dimensions do fix themselves with time, which is why we ask that you sleep on the mattress for at least 30 nights for it to adjust fully. If after this time you are still experiencing a dimension variation of over one inch please contact our customer care team.
