This is a great question! 

Essentia's Betterhood program proudly donates pristine mattresses returned under our 120 Night Sleep Trial to local charities that focus on helping to create safe home spaces for the vulnerable. 

Under our Betterhood program, we donate mattresses, foundations, and pillows to these organizations whose goal is to enrich the lives of those in need. Our charity partners receive multiple donations from Essentia and we are happy to continue adding to our amazing list of charities that we work with including Habitat for Humanity, Covenant House, and Sweet Dream Makers. 

Any Essentia mattress that is returned in pristine condition is eligible for donation under the Betterhood initiative. These mattresses are thoroughly inspected and if eligible for donation, the cover of the mattress is changed to a brand new Betterhood organic cotton cover. A mattress that is not fit for donation moves on in the process to be properly recycled.
